EWC25 - CHESS

Stage 1: GSL Groups

• Participants: 16 players divided into 4 groups of 4.
• Format: Double-elimination (GSL style).
• Match Structure: 2 games per match.
• Time Control: 10 minutes (no increment).
• Tiebreaker: Armageddon is used if a match is tied.

Stage 2: Playoffs

• Format: Single-Elimination Bracket.
• Time Control: 10 minutes (no increment) with Armageddon tiebreakers.
• Match Length:
• Round of 8 (Quarterfinals): 4 games per match.
• Round of 4 (Semifinals): 6 games per match.

Grand Finals

• Format: Best of 3 Sets.
• Set Structure:
• Sets 1 & 2: 4 games each.
• Set 3 (Decider): 2 games (played only if the score is tied 1-1 in sets).
