EWC25 - MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025

1. Wildcard Stage

• Group Draw: 8 teams are randomly drawn into two groups (A and B) using an alternating draw order.
• Format: Double Elimination bracket with all matches played as Best-of-3 (Bo3).
• Progression: The Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Wildcard Playoffs.

2. Wildcard Playoffs

• Format: A 4-team Single Elimination bracket.
• Grand Final: Played as a Best-of-5 (Bo5).
• The Prize: Only the Winner qualifies for the Main Group Stage.

3. Group Stage (July 23rd – 27th)

• Setup: 16 teams divided into two groups of eight.
• Drawing Rules:
• Pool 2 (including Wildcard winner) is drawn first, followed by Pool 1 (Top seeds from ID, PH, MY, EECA, and MM).
• Region Protection: Teams from the same region cannot be placed in the same group.
• Format: Double Elimination, all matches are Best-of-3 (Bo3).
• Progression: The Top 4 teams from each group advance; the remaining teams are eliminated.

4. Knockout Stage (July 30th – August 2nd)

• Format: 8-team Single Elimination bracket.
• Matchups: Teams with a 2-0 record from the Group Stage select their opponents (from the 2-1 finishers).
• Pick Order: Determined by the fastest average winning time during the Group Stage.
• Match Length:
• All matches are Best-of-5 (Bo5).
• The Grand Final is a Best-of-7 (Bo7) showdown.
