🎮 Tournament Format & Structure

🎲 The Draw & Seeding

• Host Nation Seeding: Saudi Arabia, as the host nation, is automatically seeded into Group A.

• Pot Distribution (15 Remaining Nations):

  • Pot 1: The 5 FIFAe Continental Champions.

  • Pot 2: The remaining 10 qualified nations.

• Draw Mechanics:

  • Nations are drawn at random until each group contains 8 nations.

  • The draw alternates between groups: because Saudi Arabia occupies Group A, the first drawn nation is placed into Group B, the second into Group A, and so forth.

• Regional Limits per Group:

  • Africa: Maximum 1 nation.

  • South America: Maximum 1 nation.

  • North, Central America & Caribbean: Maximum 1 nation.

  • Asia: Maximum 2 nations (with Saudi Arabia taking one of Group A's available slots).

  • Europe: Maximum 3 nations.

• Overflow Rule: If a drawn nation cannot fit into its scheduled group due to a regional limit, it is automatically assigned to the opposite group.

🛡️ Group Stage

• Structure: 2 groups of 8 teams playing in a Double Round-Robin format.

• Match Format: All matches are played as a Series of 2 (So2).

• Scoring System: Standard 3-point system (3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss).

• Advancement: The top 4 teams from each group (8 teams total) advance to the Playoffs.

🏆 Playoffs

• Structure: Single-Elimination Bracket.

• Match Format: All matches are played as a Best-of-7 (Bo7) series.
