تعد بطولة EPICENTER XL إحدى أبرز بطولات الـ Major الرسمية في لعبة Dota 2 ضمن موسم (Dota Pro Circuit 2017/2018). أقيمت البطولة حضورياً في العاصمة الروسية موسكو بتنظيم من Epic Esports Events، وشهدت مشاركة 12 فريقاً من نخبة الفرق العالمية تنافسوا على جوائز بلغت قيمتها 1,000,000 دولار أمريكي، بالإضافة إلى نقاط التأهل المباشرة لبطولة العالم الكبرى The International 2018.

Format

Qualifiers & Invites

  • Twelve Teams: Five direct invites and six teams from regional qualifiers.

  • Regional Spots: One team from each region: Europe, CIS, China, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America.

  • Madness Qualifier: One team from the Madness Qualifier.

Group Stage

  • Two groups of six teams each.

  • Single round-robin with Best-of-3 (Bo3) matches.

  • Playoff Advancement: The top two teams from each group advance to the Upper Bracket of the main event.

  • Lower Bracket Advancement: The 3rd and 4th placed teams advance to the Lower Bracket.

  • Elimination: The bottom two teams from each group are eliminated.

Main Event (Playoffs)

  • Double-elimination bracket.

  • Lower Bracket: The first two rounds are Best-of-1 (Bo1).

  • Other Matches: All other series are Best-of-3 (Bo3).

  • Grand Finals: Best-of-5 (Bo5) series.
