The Dota 2 competitions are the most prominent and largest event (under the MOBA PC category) in the "Future Games 2026" tournament, which will hold its third edition in Astana, Kazakhstan from July 31 to August 5, 2026, inside the "Jaksilik Oshkimberov Palace of Combat Sports."

Format

Group Stage

  • Structure: Four groups of four teams competing in a Modified GSL (Double-Elimination) format.
  • Match Format: All matches are Best-of-3 (Bo3).
  • Advancement:
  • 1st Place: Advances directly to the Playoff Quarterfinals.
  • 2nd & 3rd Place: Qualify for Playoff Round 1.
  • 4th Place: Eliminated from the competition.

Playoffs

  • Structure: A high-stakes Single-Elimination bracket.
  • Match Format: Every match throughout the bracket is a Best-of-3 (Bo3).
