The competitions of Call of Duty: Warzone in the previous edition of the Esports World Cup (EWC 2025) concluded with great excitement, as the tournament witnessed fierce battles on the grounds of Riyadh.
Format
1. Group Stage
- Structure: 21 teams are divided into 3 groups (7 teams per group).
- Direct Advancement: The top 7 teams with the highest overall points advance directly to the Finals.
- Redemption: The remaining 14 teams proceed to the Last Chance qualifier.
2. Last Chance
- Participants: 14 teams from the Group Stage.
- Advancement: The top 7 teams from this stage secure the final spots in the Finals.
3. Finals
The Finals utilize the high-stakes "Match Point" format:
- The Threshold: Once a team reaches 135 points, they become "Match Point Eligible." * The Win Condition: From the next match onwards, any team with "Match Point" status that wins a match (takes 1st place) is immediately declared the 2025 EWC Warzone Champions.
- No Limitations: * There is no limit to how many teams can be "Match Point Eligible" at the same time.
- There is no match limit; the tournament continues until a winner is crowned.
- Final Standings: After the champion is determined, the remaining standings (2nd place and below) are decided based on the total points accumulated throughout the Finals.
