The CS Asia Championships (CAC) 2026 is one of the largest and most important Counter-Strike 2 tournaments in the Asian continent, organized by Perfect World in the Chinese city of Shanghai. The tournament gathers top global teams to compete in a high-level professional environment.

Format

1. Group Stage

The 16 elite teams are divided into two groups of eight to fight for survival and seeding.

  • Format: Two Double-Elimination (GSL) groups.
  • Match Types: * Opening Matches: Best-of-1 (Bo1).
  • All Following Matches: Best-of-3 (Bo3).
  • Progression: The top three teams from each group secure a spot in the Playoffs:
  • Group Winners: Earn a direct seed into the Semifinals.
  • Runners-up: Advance to the Quarterfinals as High Seeds.
  • 3rd Place Teams: Advance to the Quarterfinals as Low Seeds.

2. Playoffs

The final stage is a high-pressure bracket held in front of the live Shanghai crowd.

  • Format: Single-Elimination bracket.
  • Match Types:
  • Standard Rounds: All matches (Quarterfinals and Semifinals) are Best-of-3 (Bo3).
  • Grand Final: A definitive Best-of-5 (Bo5) series to determine the champion.
