The RLCS Paris Major 2026 is the second major of the season, bringing together the top 16 teams from around the world in Paris to compete for a prize pool of $354,000. The tournament features a group stage followed by a double elimination format with "Best of 7" matches to determine the champion crowned in the heart of the French capital. This stop is crucial for teams to gather qualifying points for the grand world championship at the end of the year.
Format
Group Stage: May 20th – 21st
The initial phase features 16 teams divided into four groups of four. The format is a Single Round Robin, ensuring every team competes in three matches.
- Match Format: All matches are Best-of-5 (Bo5).
- Qualification Tiers:
- 1st Place: Advances directly to the Playoffs Upper Bracket.
- 2nd & 3rd Place: Qualify for the Playoffs Lower Bracket.
- 4th Place: Eliminated from the competition.
- Tiebreakers: In the event of a draw, specific group stage tiebreaker rules will apply.
Playoffs: May 22nd – 24th
The final stage consists of a 12-team Hybrid Elimination Bracket where every match is a high-stakes Best-of-7 (Bo7).
- Top 4 Seeds: The winners of each group earn a "double life," starting in the Upper Bracket with two chances to reach the Final Four.
- 5th – 12th Seeds: Teams finishing 2nd or 3rd in their groups enter the Lower Bracket, where they face immediate elimination upon losing a single match.
