OWCS 2026 Champions Clash
The Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) 2026 Champions Clash is the premier continental event that brings together giants from the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and North America in a direct showdown to determine who will assert dominance over the "West" before heading into the global competitions.
Format
Match Progression
The tournament follows a Double Elimination Bracket system with varying match lengths depending on the round:
-
First-to-2 (Ft2): Applies strictly to Upper Bracket Round 1 and Lower Bracket Round 1.
-
First-to-3 (Ft3): Applies to all standard subsequent matches, excluding the Grand Finals.
-
First-to-4 (Ft4): Applies exclusively to the Grand Finals.
Hero Ban Regulations
To maintain competitive integrity and strategic depth, the following ban rules apply to every match:
-
Global Impact: Each team is entitled to ban one hero per map. A banned hero is locked and cannot be selected by either team for that specific map.
-
Role Diversity: The two banned heroes in a map cannot belong to the same role (e.g., if Team A bans a Support hero, Team B must choose a hero from a different role, such as Tank or DPS).
-
Series Limits: A team cannot ban the exact same hero more than once throughout a single series. However, they are permitted to ban a hero that was previously banned by their opponents in an earlier map.
-
Ban Order Priority: The choice to ban first or second is granted to either the higher-seeded team or the team that lost the most recently played map.
