The BLAST R6 Major Japan 2026 tournament is one of the largest and most prominent global competitions in the esports scene for the famous tactical shooter game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. It is part of the comprehensive and inclusive season (2026/27) in the ongoing partnership between the renowned organizer BLAST and Ubisoft.

Format

1. Play-In Stage

  • Team Pool: 8 teams.
  • Format: GSL Double-Elimination bracket.
  • Progression: The top 4 teams advance to the Swiss Stage.

2. Swiss Stage

  • Team Pool: 16 teams (incorporating qualified teams and directly seeded regional champions).
  • Format: Standard Swiss system.
  • Progression: Teams must secure three wins to advance. The top 8 teams qualify for the Playoffs.

3. Playoffs (The Finals)

  • Team Pool: 8 elite teams.
  • Format: High-stakes Double-Elimination bracket.
  • Match Rules: * All bracket matches are contested as a Best-of-3 (Bo3).
  • The Grand Finals culminate in an epic Best-of-5 (Bo5) showdown to crown the Major Champion.
