The International 2024 tournament (abbreviated as TI13) is the thirteenth edition of the annual world championship for the popular game Dota 2, which is considered the most prominent and largest event in the game's and the esports community globally.

Group Stage | September 4 – September 5, 2024

16 teams are divided into four groups of four.

All group stage matches are played in a Best-of-2 (Bo2) format.

Seeding Implications: The top two teams from each group will be paired against the 3rd or 4th place finishers from their opposing group (Group A vs. Group B, and Group C vs. Group D) for the upcoming Seeding Decider matches.
Seeding Decider | September 6 – September 7, 2024

All 16 teams compete in eight head-to-head Best-of-3 (Bo3) matches.

The outcomes of these series directly determine each team's placement in the Main Event bracket (Upper vs. Lower Bracket).
Main Event | September 8 – September 15, 2024
The pinnacle of the tournament is split into two phase stages:

The Main Event features a 16-team, double-elimination bracket.

8 teams secure a spot in the Upper Bracket, while the remaining 8 begin their run in the Lower Bracket.

All elimination and advancement series are Best-of-3 (Bo3), culminating in a Best-of-5 (Bo5) Grand Final to crown the champion.
