ALGS: 2024 Split 1 Playoffs

• Dates: May 2nd – 3rd

• Format:

  • 40 teams are split evenly into 4 groups of 10.

  • The stage uses a Round-robin format where every group plays against all other groups.

  • Each team competes in 3 Match Series, totaling 18 games.

• Advancement:

  • All 40 teams move on to the Bracket Stage based on their cumulative points.

  • The Top 20 teams advance directly to the Winners Bracket.

  • The Bottom 20 teams drop to the Losers Bracket - Round 1.

Bracket Stage

• Winners Bracket (May 4th)

  • Features the top 20 teams from the Group Stage competing in a 1 Match Series.

  • The Top 10 teams secure a direct spot in the Finals.

  • The Bottom 10 teams drop to Losers Bracket - Round 2.

• Losers Bracket - Round 1 (May 4th)

  • Features the bottom 20 teams from the Group Stage competing in a 1 Match Series.

  • The Top 10 teams advance to Losers Bracket - Round 2.

  • The Bottom 10 teams are eliminated from the tournament.

• Losers Bracket - Round 2 (May 4th)

  • Consists of 20 teams (10 from Winners Bracket + 10 from Losers Round 1) playing a 1 Match Series.

  • The Top 10 teams claim the remaining spots in the Finals.

  • The Bottom 10 teams are eliminated from the tournament.

Finals

• Date: May 5th

• Format:

  • The final 20 remaining teams compete using the high-stakes Match Point Format.

  • To be crowned Champion, a team must first reach a threshold of 50 points, and then secure a 1st-place finish (Match Win) in a subsequent game.

  • Once the winner is determined, the remaining teams are ranked according to their total points accumulated throughout the series.
