The PUBG Global Championship 2024 (commonly known as PGC 2024) is the largest and most prestigious closing event of the esports season for the popular battle royale game PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2024, featuring the best and strongest teams in the world to determine the ultimate global champion.

Format

### 1. Circuit System Stage (December 9th – 18th, 2024)

The qualification stage consists of three consecutive Circuits. Teams advance, drop, or get eliminated daily based on a tiered performance structure.

🔹 Circuit 1 (December 9th – 11th, 2024)

Initial seeding is determined by the PUBG Global Series (PGS) Point Ranking:

  • Day 1: The remaining 24 lower-ranked teams compete (6 matches). The bottom 4 teams are eliminated from Circuit 1.

  • Day 2: The surviving 20 teams + teams ranked 5th–8th in PGS points compete (6 matches). The bottom 4 teams are eliminated from Circuit 1.

  • Day 3: The surviving 16 teams + teams ranked 1st–4th in PGS points compete (6 matches).

🔹 Circuits 2 & 3 (December 12th – 14th & December 16th – 18th, 2024)

Seeding for Circuits 2 and 3 is strictly determined by the final standings of the previous Circuit:

  • Day 1: Lower-ranked teams from the previous Circuit compete (6 matches). The bottom 4 teams are eliminated from the ongoing Circuit.

  • Day 2: Surviving teams from Day 1 + teams that finished 5th–8th in the previous Circuit compete (6 matches). The bottom 4 teams are eliminated from the ongoing Circuit.

  • Day 3: Surviving teams from Day 2 + teams that finished 1st–4th in the previous Circuit compete (6 matches).

🔹 Circuit Stage Advancement

  • Top 16 teams in the cumulative Circuit Standings advance directly to the Grand Finals.

  • Bottom 8 teams are eliminated from the tournament.

### 2. Grand Finals (December 20th – 22nd, 2024)

  • Match Structure: 18 matches played over a 3-day period (previously 12 matches over 2 days).

  • Scoring System: The Grand Finals will be fully contested under the standard SUPER point format (the Smash Rule is not applied).

  • Championship Title: The team with the highest total points at the conclusion of the 18 matches will be officially declared the 2024 Season World Champion.
