The M4 World Championship is the fourth edition of the annual world championship by Moonton for the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Format

Group Stage (January 1st – 4th, 2023)

  • Format: 16 teams were split into 4 groups of 4. They competed in a Single Round Robin with all matches played as a Best-of-1 (Bo1).

  • Seeding: No teams were eliminated. The top 2 teams from each group advanced to the Upper Bracket, while the bottom 2 teams dropped to the Lower Bracket.

Knockout Stage (January 7th – 15th, 2023)

  • Format: A Double-Elimination bracket featuring all 16 teams (8 starting in the Upper Bracket and 8 in the Lower Bracket).
Series Length

  • Lower Bracket Rounds 1 & 2: Played as Best-of-3 (Bo3) series where losses meant instant elimination.

  • Standard Bracket Matches: All Upper Bracket matches and later Lower Bracket rounds were contested as Best-of-5 (Bo5).

  • The Grand Final: The championship concluded with a maximum-endurance Best-of-7 (Bo7) showdown.
