The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 (PMGC 2022) is the third edition of the largest and most prestigious closing event in the esports world for the game PUBG Mobile. The tournament gathered the strongest and best 48 teams from various continents and regions (Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa) to compete for the title of "World Champion" and huge cash prizes.

Format

1. League Stage: Group Stage (Nov 10th – 27th, 2022)

  • Teams: 48 teams, split into 3 groups of 16.

  • Format: Each group plays exclusively for one week (4 matchdays per week, 6 matches per day, 24 matches total per group).

  • Progression:

    • Top 3 teams per group advance directly to the Grand Finals.

    • 4th – 11th place teams advance to the Survival Stage.

    • Bottom 5 teams are eliminated.

2. League Stage: Survival Stage (Nov 30th – Dec 2nd, 2022)

  • Teams: 24 teams, split into 3 groups of 8.

  • Format: Round-Robin format (6 matches per day, 18 matches total across 3 days).

  • Progression:

    • Top 16 teams advance to the Last Chance stage.

    • Bottom 8 teams are eliminated.

3. League Stage: Last Chance (Dec 3rd – 4th, 2022)

  • Teams: 16 teams.

  • Format: 12 matches total.

  • Progression:

    • Top 5 teams advance to the Grand Finals.

    • Bottom 11 teams are eliminated.

4. Grand Finals (January 6th – 8th, 2023 — Jakarta, Indonesia)

  • Teams: 16 teams in total:

    • 14 teams from the League Stage qualifiers.

    • 2 teams via direct invitation.

  • Format: 18 matches total over 3 days.
