BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023
The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023 tournament is one of the most prominent and largest official global tournaments in the tactical shooter game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The tournament was held in collaboration between Ubisoft and the famous organizer BLAST, and it represented the second major stop in the competitive calendar for 2023.
Format
1. Play-ins (October 31 – November 1, 2023)
Format: GSL-style (Double-Elimination groups).
Group Composition: 4 teams per group, each from a different region.
Match Structure: > * Upper Bracket matches: Best-of-1 (Bo1)
- Lower Bracket matches: Best-of-3 (Bo3)
Progression: The Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Playoffs.
2. Playoffs (November 3 – 7, 2023)
Format: 16-Team Swiss System.
Match Structure:
Elimination matches: Best-of-3 (Bo3)
All other matches: Best-of-1 (Bo1)
Seeding: Determined dynamically using the Buchholz System.
Progression: The Top 8 teams advance to the Finals.
3. Finals (November 10 – 12, 2023)
Format: Single-Elimination Bracket.
Match Structure:
Quarterfinals & Semifinals: Best-of-3 (Bo3)
Grand Final: Best-of-5 (Bo5) (No map advantage given)
