ALGS 2021 North America Championship is the strongest final event of the first season of the global Apex Legends league. The tournament features an intense group stage followed by critical finals that use the exciting "match point" system to determine the official champion.

Format

. Group Stage

  • Seeding: Teams are distributed into four different groups using the Snake Draft method, based on their ALGS points.

  • Schedule: The Group Stage spans 3 days, where each group plays a 6-game series against every other group:

    • Day 1: Group A vs. Group B & Group C vs. Group D

    • Day 2: Group A vs. Group C & Group B vs. Group D

    • Day 3: Group A vs. Group B & Group B vs. Group C

  • Advancement:

    • The top-scoring team from each of the 4 groups automatically advances to the Finals (4 teams total).

    • The remaining 16 spots will be filled by the next highest-scoring teams from the overall combined group standings.

2. Point Distribution

  • At the end of each match, teams earn points based on their placement and total kills, as displayed on the in-game end-of-match summary screen ("Match Score").

3. Finals & Match Point Rules

  • No Match Limit: There is no maximum number of matches for the Finals.

  • Match Point Threshold: Once a team reaches 50 total points during the Finals, they become "Match Point Eligible" starting from the next match.

  • Winning the Championship: The first Match Point Eligible team to win a match (secure a Apex Champions status) is crowned the Champion.

  • Remaining Rankings: After the winner is determined, positions 2nd through 20th are ranked based on their total accumulated Finals points.

  • Note: There is no limit to how many teams can be "Match Point Eligible" at the same time.

4. Finals Seeding Points

  • The top ten (10) teams with the highest total Group Stage Match Scores will start the Finals with head-start seeding points.
